(10:00 a.m. EDT) — Oceania Cruises is making major redesigns to the top-tier accommodations on its newest ship, Sirena, as part of the $40 million refurbishment slated for March 2016.
The Owner’s and Vista Suites will be updated with a contemporary look, including colorful artwork, plush carpeting, and dark walnut finishes. The six Owner’s Suites will receive custom-made furnishings, the line’s signature luxury beds, newly renovated bathrooms and teak sea-view verandas. The four Vista Suites will also feature bathrooms with marble touches and balconies overlooking the ship’s bow.
The Miami-based operator is also introducing a new collection of tea-scented Bvlgari bath products — including The Blu, a scent exclusive to Oceania Cruises — for Concierge-level passengers or above. While all cruisers are provided with Bvlgari toiletries, Owner’s and Vista Suite passengers also receive a complimentary gift box set of the luxury brand amenities.
The 684-passenger Sirena enters service on April 27, 2016 with a 14-night cruise from Barcelona to Venice. Formerly Ocean Princess, the ship will join Oceania’s R Class of vessels.
The ship will also introduce new specialty restaurants including Tuscan Steak, together with Jacques Bistro — a new gourmet lunch experience featuring signature dishes from renowned chef Jacques Pepin.
