(3:52 p.m. EST) — After successfully testing out its Carnival Journeys voyages — longer sailings of nine to 15 nights — Carnival Cruise Line has added 22 new Journeys cruises to its inventory through 2017.
Carnival Journeys cruises were first introduced to the public in late 2015. Totaling 28 in number, they offered more in-depth port experiences than the shorter voyages Carnival typically sells.
On the roster for 2016-17 are itineraries that call on the Caribbean, Hawaii and the Panama Canal, among other destinations. While onboard, passengers can expect live cultural entertainment and food that highlights native cuisine with the help of local chefs.
Throwback days are also standard on Carnival Journeys voyages. During one sea day on each sailing, passengers can don their 80s best and participate in onboard activities like frog racing and knobby knees contests.
Below are just a few of the sailings available this year and next. For a complete list, check out Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald’s Facebook page. (Note: The last cruise listed is not an actual sailing.)
