(12:15 p.m. EST) — A private evening tour of the art collection at the Belvedere Palace in Vienna will be offered as an exclusive and complimentary event aboard every 2016 and 2017 itinerary of Crystal Mozart, Crystal River Cruises’ first river ship.
The Belvedere Palace is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and a masterpiece of Baroque architecture and design. River cruisers will have three hours to take a guided tour of the art collection — which includes an impressive display of Austrian art by the likes of Klimt, Kokoschka and Schiele — and enjoy classical music in the Palace’s halls. Passengers will return to the ship via a scenic drive along Vienna’s Ringstrasse, passing famous buildings that include the Vienna State Opera House, the Austrian Parliament Building and the Academy of Fine Arts.
Crystal Mozart passengers can book this excursion — and all other river cruise tours — in April, but the exclusive tour has space for all 160 passengers, so there’s no need to worry about the tour selling out. Crystal Mozart sets sail on July 13, 2016, offering 10- to 13-night itineraries along the Danube River, roundtrip from Vienna.
