(10 a.m. EDT) — Norwegian Cruise Line has changed the departure time of its seven-night cruises on Norwegian Escape from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean to 7 p.m. Part of the line’s push for growth in European markets, the change means passengers can fly from many airports in Continental airports on the day of embarkation without a prior overnight stay. The new timings will apply to departures between May 7 to July 16 and from September 3 to December 31, 2016.
Saga Travel has released 13 new European river cruises, which include trips along the Danube, Rhine, Ijssel, Elbe and Meuse, plus a cruise through the Kiel Canal. The Saga-exclusive 2017 cruises also feature a jazz-themed sailing and an all-inclusive mystery cruise, as well as included excursions on selected cruises.
As the company waits for Cuban approval on its Fort Lauderdale to Cuba cruise, Pearl Seas has canceled the March 26 cruise. As with the two previous Cuba cruises that the line canceled, booked passengers will be able to transfer their reservation to another cruise or receive a full refund. Pearl Seas expects to operate the April 5 voyage, a spokesman said.
