Viking Ocean Cruises Reveals World Cruise for Fourth Ship in Late 2017

(3:50 p.m. EDT) — Viking Ocean Cruises’ fourth ship, Viking Sun, will spend its maiden season sailing a 141-day itinerary visiting five continents – the first world cruise for the line.

Departing on December 15, 2017, the Miami to London route will stop in 66 ports, ranging from Cuba and the Caribbean to Asia to the Middle East to Europe. Twelve of the stops will be overnight in cities such as Havana, Papeete, Auckland, Shanghai, Sydney, Bangkok and Singapore.

As with regular Viking Oceans cruises, each port stop will include a free shore excursion; world cruise passengers will also receive business class air, a Silver Spirits beverage package and have gratuities and wifi included with their fare.

Viking Sun will carry 930 passengers; the vessel is slated for delivery in late 2017. Prices for the world cruise start at $44,999 per person.

Viking Sea, the cruise line’s second ship, will be christened in Greenwich, England, on May 5. Stay tuned for coverage of the ceremony here on Cruise Critic.
