(6:30 p.m. EDT) — In addition to an open-air suspended bicycle ride, a kaleidoscopic waterslide and the first IMAX movie theater at sea, passengers sailing on Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Vista, can experience three new production shows as part of the vessel’s Playlist Productions lineup.
Amor Cubano: A Caribbean Dance Romance features a seven-piece band that will mix contemporary songs with Latin classics.
America Rocks! pays tribute to rock music and its many legends by showcasing tunes from Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Styx, Kiss and others.
Flick: The Power of Motion Pictures focuses on songs from popular films, including “Footloose” and “Dirty Dancing,” while making use of various special effects.
These shows will all be followed by after-parties, allowing passengers to mingle with the performers.
Carnival Vista will also offer passengers the chance to watch first-run movies in its onboard IMAX theater for $12.95 ($9.95 for kids and seniors).
Additionally, the ship will host South Beach-style dance parties at night at Serenity, an adults-only sun deck.
Carnival Vista will spend the summer sailing Europe itineraries before arriving in New York in November 2016. It will then reposition to Miami to offer year-round Caribbean cruises.
