Black Friday/Cyber Monday Cruise Deals 2015

(9:30 a.m. EDT) — Feast your eyes on flash sales — these cruise deals are preheating a holiday season of promotions. From last minute savings to slashed prices on bucket-list voyages for next year, the following Black Friday and Cyber Monday cruise deals will have you thinking about your next cruise vacation — and even booking one if the deal appeals. While not every cruise deal has been announced at this time, we take a look at what you can expect so your fingertips will be ready to pounce on your keyboard when the moment arrives.

Royal Caribbean International

The Deal: Save up to 30 percent on last minute cruises across nine itineraries (including holiday sailings).

The Dates: Book now through Sunday, November 29.

How It Adds Up: If you can snag one of these sailings before they’re sold out, the available discount on a Christmas cruise could be the motivation you need to book the ultimate gift idea. Savings were just 20 percent off cruise fares last year, but per-night price came in at about the same: roughly $80 per person or more. If none of the available sailings appeal to you, hold out for some bonus offers that might appear November 30, or Cyber Monday. Last year, Royal offered a separate one-day-only deal that advertised onboard credit and buy-one-get-one-half fares.

MSC Cruises

The Deal: Book a cruise on MSC Divina and save with free upgrades (inside to oceanview; oceanview to balcony), plus up to $400 per cabin in onboard credit and kids sail free on select cruises.

The Dates: Book November 26 through December 2.

How It Adds Up: MSC, a Mediterranean cruise line, continues to push its U.S-homeported ship, Divina. Last year, less onboard credit was offered during a shorter booking window, but cheap Caribbean cruises on Divina were still a focus. So if you’re looking for an inexpensive warm-weather sailing from Miami, this is a great opportunity to capitalize on low rates during peak sailing periods.

Princess Cruises

The Deal: Sail from $249 per person on select Princess sailings, plus kids receive a free beverage package.

The Dates: Book November 24 to December 1.

How It Adds Up: If you’re on either coast looking for a quick family getaway, four-night sailings to the Caribbean or along the West Coast are a cost-efficient option (plus, kids will be happy with unlimited soda and juice). Select weeklong and 10-night Mexico itineraries also qualify. Unless you’re cruising with children, this offer is a bit of a dud. Last year Princess cut prices and offered third and fourth passengers in a cabin to cruise from $50 each; the booking window was also a few extra days. The beverage package savings equates to about $8 per person, per day.

Holland America Line

The Deal: For one week only, Holland America is doubling your serving of onboard credit with up to $600 per cabin when you book a select Land+Sea Journey (cruisetour) to Alaska, Asia, South America and more worldwide destinations. Plus, save 50 percent on flights when booked with Holland America’s airline engine, Flight Ease.

The Dates: Book now until Monday, November 30.

How It Adds Up: Last year a drink package was offered in addition to reduced pricing and deposits, but who needs that when you have credit to spend onboard anyway you like? Be prepared to fork over a little more up front as this promotion is only applicable toward the line’s longer cruisetours with a land component.

Various (CruCon’s annual Thanksgiving Day Sale)

The Deal: CruCon is offering deals from 15 cruise lines with its 24th annual Thanksgiving sale. Perks include free beverage packages and prepaid gratuities, up to $1,000 onboard credit, free or reduced airfare and complimentary excursions. In addition to sale bonuses, CruCon is offering $100 to balcony bookings or higher on select seven-night or longer cruises.

The Dates: Opens November 27 to the general public; preview begins November 24 to Cruise Critic, CruCon e-deal and Travelzoo subscribers.

How It Adds Up: Slashing prices across a variety of cruise lines, CruCon’s yearly holiday sales always garner a ton of excitement from the cruise community, and provide a solid variety of deals across lines and itineraries.

The Deal: Small Norway-based expedition line, Hurtigruten, is taking 35 percent off sailings to the Norwegian fjords, to see the northern lights and even Antarctica; discount also applies to all six- to 12-night 2016 classic voyages.

The Dates: Book November 27 through December 3.

How It Adds Up: If 2016 is the year you’re aiming to reach the poles or to cross the northern lights off your bucket list, this sale offers significant savings on prime sailings for far-flung itineraries.

Carnival Cruise Line

The Deal: Not yet announced.

The Dates: N/A

How It Adds Up: In 2014, Carnival didn’t announce their Black Friday sale until that Friday. Free double upgrades and about $100 in onboard credit per cabin is on the books from last season — check back to see what 2015 holds for the Fun Ship brand.

Azamara Club Cruises

The Deal: Not yet announced.

The Dates: N/A

How It Adds Up: Hundreds in onboard credit was on the table during Azamara’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday cruise sale last year. Log on Friday morning (or even after dessert’s been served on Thursday) for any sign of a sale in motion from this premium line.

Norwegian Cruise Line

The Deal: For one week only, Norwegian Cruise Line is offering double the Freestyle Choice perks to bookings made during its Black Friday event. Additional offers include a bonus holiday gift from Norwegian when you book a three- to 16-night cruise in any cabin category more than 30 days before your departure, and an additional $100 OBC when you book select South America sailings onboard Norwegian Sun.

The Dates: Book now until Monday, November 30.

How It Adds Up: Norwegian’s Freestyle Choice promo has been running the entire year, and the cruise line is taking advantage of the holiday season to offer a bustier version of the popular, choose-your-own bonus sale. Not feeling Norwegian’s Black Friday deal? Opt for up to $200 in onboard credit instead when you book a featured holiday cruise.
